We are a small, hobby breeder of miniature
Australian Shepherds just across the bridge from Portland, Oregon in Vancouver, Washington. Our Aussies
live in our home, not in kennels. This is a breed that thrives on time and attention from it's
family and does not do well as a backyard ornament.
Makana is Hawaiian for gift and I'm sure that those that have been privileged
to own Aussies would agree, these dogs are definitely little gifts.
While we may find this breed to be absolutely
perfect, they will not fit into every lifestyle. They are active dogs who do best with a job (agility, herding, flyball,
Rally, etc). Please be sure to read more on Miniature Australian Shepherds and to ask a lot of questions before making
such a committment.
