Gracie's Lines
Gracie's maternal lines trace back to ASCA Versatility & Supreme Versatility Champions through Kelsey's dad, Sam (www.blueskiesaussies.com), SF Flash Point Colt 45.   On Gracie's paternal side, through Phantom (www.ironhorseaussie.com), Ironhorse Phantom of the Opera, there is a nice mixture of Ironhorse and Las Rocosa lines.

Joey's Lines
Joey's parents Rodeo and Skye are both from Cowtown Kennels in Miles City, Montana. (www.cowtownkennels.com) and bring in some very nice traditional mini lines through Patchwork Farms (www.patchworkfarms.com).

Puppies will be evaluated structurally by Pat Hastings (www.dogfolk.com) and be temperament tested to see what type of home they will be best suited for at 8 weeks of age.  They will also have their eyes screened by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist and will be introduced to sheep or ducks at that age as well.  Their eighth week will be a busy one!

Due to the varied heights of the parents, there is likely to be a wide height range in these babies.    Please keep in mind that there is a chance that the babies will mature over the breed standard in height.

I am hoping that this cross will produce nice instinct on stock and I am expecting that several of these puppies will be very fun to work with.  For this reason, performance homes will be given special consideration when I am looking at placements.  This does not mean that your family has to compete in dog sports, although that would be wonderful.  It means to me that you want to try herding, agility, rally, disc and/or whatever else comes to mind with your dog, either as a hobby or competitively.

They may like to work, but they have a nice "off switch" as well and are happy warming your feet or laying on the bathroom floor while you are getting ready for the day.

Potential homes will be screened and puppies will only be placed with those whose dogs are a very important part of the family.   Aussies of any size aren't meant to be kennel dogs, in our opinion, and we will not place any of our puppies into a kennel or backyard-ornament situation.

We love our dogs dearly, but this breed is not for everyone

Please take the time to read about what you should be asking from your puppy's breeder as well as if a Mini Aussie is truly the right fit for your family before making such a big commitment.   A bit of education can save you some heartache as well as make you aware of what traits you would be looking for in your new best friend.   You can read more at

There are also benefits to adopting a Mini Aussie from MARS.  These dogs have already been evaluated for temperament, are past the higher-maintenence puppy phase, and are just looking for someone who can give them the love and attention that they deserve.  If an older puppy or adult is better for you, there may be a beautiful, intelligent,  lap-seeking new friend waiting for you at
